Foios to Host I Grand Prix Cycling Schools with Races and Children's Activities

The municipality of l'Horta Nord prepares for a sports day with official categories and gymkhanas for the youngest participants.

The municipality of Foios, in l'Horta Nord, will host the I Grand Prix Cycling Schools on Sunday, April 12, 2026, an initiative combining official races with recreational activities for young participants.

The event, organized by the Foios City Council in collaboration with the Club Ciclista Foios, will take place in the Plaça del Poble starting at 10:00 AM. In addition to the competitions, gifts will be provided for registered children and gymkhanas will be held to make the day more enjoyable.

The Councillor for Sports and Citizen Participation, Emma García, highlighted Foios' commitment to cycling. She also noted that this will not be the only cycling event of the year, as the municipality will also host the Summer Cycling Challenge, the '24 hours pedaling' challenge, and activities for Bike Day.
The urban route for the I Grand Prix Cycling Schools will be 1.08 kilometers and will include categories such as Promesas 1 and 2, Principiantes 1 and 2, Alevines 1 and 2, and Infantiles 1 and 2 (up to 13 years old), for both male and female participants. All categories will have their own competitive race with trophies, earning official points.
In addition to the races, the Club Ciclista Foios will provide gifts and snacks for the participants. Registration is free and open to federated athletes from cycling schools in the provinces of Valencia, Castellón, or Alicante, and can be completed through the form on the Cycling Federation of the Valencian Community (FCCV) website.
