Leyendas del Rock Celebrates 20 Years in Villena with Stellar Lineup

The festival will gather 80 national and international bands, including Helloween, In Flames, and Arch Enemy, from August 5th to 8th.

The Municipal Sports Center of Villena will host the 20th edition of the Leyendas del Rock festival from August 5th to 8th, featuring 80 national and international bands.

The Leyendas del Rock festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Villena, solidifying its status as a national heavy metal benchmark. The event will take place from August 5th to 8th at the Municipal Sports Center, offering four days dedicated to various metal subgenres.
The lineup boasts top-tier international acts such as Helloween, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Slaughter to Prevail, and Savatage, alongside a selection of 80 bands blending genre classics with new proposals.
The opening day, Wednesday, will feature Russian band Slaughter to Prevail, marking one of their final farewell tour dates, and the Villena debut of the legendary Savatage. Also performing are Sepultura on their farewell tour, Black Label Society, Orbit Culture, and Thundermother.
The New Rock Stage, dedicated to lesser-known acts, will host bands like Chained Saint, Hadadanza, Prom Kinks, Heleven, and the Avenged Sevenfold tribute project, Deathbats.
On Thursday, August 6th, Arch Enemy will introduce their new vocalist, Lauren Hart, in their first Spanish concert with her. Godsmack will also make their Spanish debut at the festival. Additionally, Dark Tranquillity, Northlane, Dartagnan, Mushroomhead, Creeper, and Lèpoka will perform.
Thursday's New Rock Stage will feature acts such as Evo, Bolu2 Death, Lándevir, Celtibeerian, Ekyrian, Injector, and Aneuma.
Friday, August 7th, will be highlighted by the presence of In Flames, considered a leading exponent of melodic death metal, and the return of Stratovarius with their power metal. Spanish representation includes Saurom, presenting their new work, and Saratoga.
Other notable performances on Friday include Future Palace, The Baboon Show, Dark Moor, and Chez Kane. The New Rock Stage will feature Employed to Serve, Wings of Steel, Mind Driller, Against Myself, Daeria, Xeria, and a DJ set by Jordi Wild.
On Saturday, Helloween, the foremost exponents of international power metal, will return to Villena to celebrate four decades of their career, presenting their new album "Giants & Monsters" and revisiting their classics.
The highly anticipated return of WarCry with new songs and the distinctive voice of Víctor García is also scheduled. Fans of extreme sounds can look forward to performances by Heaven Shall Burn and Deicide.
Saturday's lineup also includes Eihwar with their Viking rituals, British hardcore band Guilt Trip, and heavy metal act Ankhara. The New Rock Stage will host Hardline, Half Me, Ten56, Cabal, Latzen, Death and Legacy, and Fallen at Dawn.
