The IV Book Fair of Geldo, held this past weekend in the town of Alto Palancia, concluded with resounding success in terms of participation and organization. The event has established itself as one of the most prominent cultural gatherings in the rural environment of the Valencian Community, attracting thousands of visitors over its three days thanks to a diverse and high-quality program.
The fair featured more than 25 stands from publishers, bookstores, and cultural collectives, creating a dynamic space for interaction among readers, writers, and industry professionals. Throughout the weekend, presentations, book signings, and activities for all audiences were held, reinforcing the role of reading as a cultural and social driver.
One of the most significant moments of this edition was the presence of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Universities, Diana Morant, who participated in the official inauguration. During her speech, the minister highlighted the value of initiatives like the Geldo Book Fair for the cultural revitalization of rural areas, emphasizing the importance of bringing culture to all territories and promoting rurality as a space for opportunities.

In addition to her participation in the opening, Diana Morant toured the municipality, where she was able to learn firsthand about some of its main cultural and heritage attractions. She also visited the Palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli, a historical symbol of the town with great heritage value.

The fair also featured the participation of renowned authors such as Xabier Fortes, Antón Reixa, Paco Roca, Rosario Raro, and Angélica Morales, whose interventions and meetings with readers were one of the event's major attractions.
The Geldo City Council has positively evaluated this fourth edition, highlighting both the high attendance and the involvement of all participants.
