The Civil Guard has arrested a young man in Montanejos accused of drug trafficking during the electronic music festival Días de Campo 2026, held between May 14th and 17th.

An extensive preventive operation by the Civil Guard, deployed to ensure public safety and control access to the Días de Campo 2026 festival grounds in Montanejos, has culminated in the arrest of a young man for alleged offenses against public health.
The arrest occurred at a checkpoint on the town's access roads. Officers noticed evasive behavior from a driver who attempted to flee upon noticing the police presence. After being intercepted, several doses of MDMA prepared for distribution were found among his belongings.
During the operation, a total of 90 reports were filed for violations related to the possession and consumption of narcotics in public spaces, along with 3 additional reports for disrespect towards law enforcement officers. The Civil Guard seized various substances, including cocaine, speed, MDMA, hashish, marijuana, ketamine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, tusi, crystal, and LSD.

The Civil Guard emphasizes the importance of these preventive operations at large-scale events to preserve attendee safety and combat drug trafficking and consumption in festive environments.
