The N-340 highway in Vinaròs is experiencing a total closure in both directions near kilometers 1058 and 1057.3, due to a protest by teachers on the ninth day of the education strike.

Traffic on the N-340 highway near Vinaròs was severely affected this Thursday by a total closure in both directions. The protest, now in its ninth day of the education strike, has caused significant traffic jams and congestion in the area, impacting kilometers 1058 and 1057.3 of the road.
Until now, the mobilizations had proceeded without traffic incidents. However, Thursday's demonstration has changed the situation, causing traffic difficulties. As an alternative, a provisional route has been set up via the N-238, between kilometers 2 and 5, also within the municipality of Vinaròs. Vehicles traveling on the N-340 will be diverted to this alternative route.
The situation remains unresolved, as the Ministry of Education and the organizing union have not yet reached an agreement to address the teachers' demands.
Other traffic incidents were reported on various roads in the province of Castellón, including the N-340 in Nules and Orpesa, the AP-7 in Benicarló and Castellón de la Plana, the N-340a in Benicarló and Vinaròs, the CV-164 in Albocàsser, the CV-12 and CV-15 in Ares del Maestrat, and the CV-15 in La Pobla Tornesa, primarily due to roadworks.
Additionally, significant traffic jams were detected on the access roads to Valencia from the southern and western metropolitan areas, with considerable congestion on routes such as the V-31, V-30, CV-36, CV-35, CV-30, and CV-31, particularly in areas like Silla, Catarroja, Horno de Alcedo, Mislata, Paterna, Quart de Poblet, Benimàmet-Beniferri, and Cruz de Gracia, due to rush hour and some accidents.
