The Civil Guard has arrested a young man for drug trafficking during the Días de Campo 2026 festival, held in Montanejos between May 14th and 17th, as part of a comprehensive security operation.

A security operation deployed at the Días de Campo 2026 electronic music festival, held in Montanejos between May 14th and 17th, has culminated in the arrest of a young man suspected of drug trafficking.
The arrest occurred at one of the checkpoints established at the town's entrances. Officers noticed suspicious behavior from a driver who, upon realizing the police presence, attempted to leave the area hastily. After being intercepted and identified, the Civil Guard found several doses of MDMA among his belongings, apparently prepared for distribution.
The operation was part of a preventive measure organized to ensure public safety, control access to the venue, and prevent the possession and distribution of narcotic substances during the festival. In total, officers issued 90 citations for infractions related to drug possession and consumption in public spaces, along with three reports for disrespect towards law enforcement officers.
Throughout the operation, the Civil Guard seized various types of substances, including cocaine, speed, MDMA, hashish, marijuana, ketamine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, tusi, crystal meth, and LSD, as well as other synthetic drugs. The Civil Guard emphasizes that these preventive operations at large-scale events aim to preserve attendee safety and combat drug trafficking and consumption in festive environments.
