Onil, recognized as the cradle of dolls in Spain, aims to pay tribute to an industry that is part of the municipality's identity, history, and heritage. The town is home to the manufacturing of the first Spanish doll, becoming a national and international benchmark in the toy and doll sector for generations.
To mark this celebration, the exterior area of the Doll Museum will host a wide program of activities for all ages throughout the weekend. Planned events include theatrical guided tours, workshops, exhibitions, storytelling, magic shows, and many more surprises designed for family enjoyment.
Additionally, the Doll Museum is preparing new exhibitions and renovated spaces that will be open for visits during these days, offering the public a unique experience to learn more closely about the history, evolution, and tradition of Onil's dolls.
The complete program of activities will be announced soon through the official channels of the City Council and the Tourism Department.
The Onil City Council intends to continue promoting and highlighting the importance of Onil's dolls and the Doll Museum as key elements of the municipality's cultural, tourist, and historical heritage, thereby reinforcing the link between tradition, culture, and local identity.
