The municipality of Les Useres will become, on May 23rd and 24th, the hub of provincial wine tourism with the celebration of the twelfth edition of the Wine Fair. This established event aims to highlight the wine-making richness and cultural identity of the l'Alcalatén region.
The fair will bring together the five wineries of the municipality: Les Useres, Flors, El Mollet Vino y Cultura, Barón d’Alba, and Viña Natura. Organized by the Les Useres Town Hall in collaboration with local wineries and entities, the event will open its doors on Saturday at 11:30 AM with a program designed for all audiences.
Wine will be the undisputed star, accompanied by live music, gastronomic offerings, cultural activities, children's workshops, and the promotion of local heritage. The mayor, Jaime Martínez, emphasized that the fair "represents much more than a gastronomic event; it is a display of the pride we feel for our roots, our landscape, and a wine tradition that is part of our town's identity."
Martínez also highlighted the economic and tourist impact of the initiative, which attracts hundreds of visitors and helps boost local commerce and hospitality. "The Wine Fair generates economic activity and helps to revitalize local commerce and hospitality throughout the weekend," he stated.
Saturday's program includes the official inauguration, children's games, the opening of the Museu Pelegrins, and various free tastings. Notably, the books ‘El revers de les veus apagades’ and ‘El vino perfecto’ by Alfredo Fornàs will be presented at 6:00 PM, coinciding with the musical afternoon with the group La Popera. The day will conclude with a set by Dj’s Bandalay.
On Sunday, the fair opens at 10:30 AM. The day will feature the presentation of the Ceratobosc project, more children's activities, and the museum's opening. Tastings will continue with the Barón d’Alba and Les Useres wineries. The group Five will provide musical entertainment, and the fair will close with another set by Dj’s Bandalay.
In addition to the scheduled activities, the fair will offer a diverse selection of artisanal and gastronomic products, including cured meats, cheeses, traditional pastries, and nuts, reinforcing the link between wine, territory, and gastronomy.
