The town of Les Useres opened its doors this Saturday to its XII Fira del Vi, an event that has become a key meeting point for the promotion of wine, gastronomy, and local products throughout the weekend. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the mayor, Jaime Martínez, members of the municipal corporation, and institutional representatives such as Vicente Pallarés, from the Provincial Council of Castellón, as well as mayors from the region.
"This fair is an opportunity to continue highlighting the work of our wineries and local producers, as well as projecting the image of Les Useres as a municipality historically linked to wine culture," stated Mayor Jaime Martínez. The inaugural day included the official opening of the fair, children's activities, the inauguration of the Museu dels Pelegrins, and various tastings organized by the wineries Flors, Viña Natura, and El Mollet Vino y Cultura. On Sunday, wineries Barón d’Alba and Les Useres are expected to participate.
The cultural program featured the presentation of the books ‘El revers de les veus apagades’ and ‘El vino perfecto’, both by writer Alfredo Fornàs. There were also musical performances and leisure activities, such as the afternoon gathering by the group La Popera and a set by Dj’s Bandalay. "We want the Fira del Vi to continue growing as a space for meeting around our wines, our gastronomy, and our traditions, also generating a positive impact for local commerce, hospitality, and the municipality's economy as a whole," said the mayor. The XII Fira del Vi of Les Useres brings together wineries, artisan producers, and exhibitors in the town center, with a program for all audiences.
