The L'Alcora City Council has presented its economic strategy for the 2024-2028 period, projecting €22.5 million in investments and a municipal debt of 23%.

The Finance Department places this debt well below the legal limit of 110% allowed for local administrations. According to municipal planning, the investment volume combines the €12.4 million already activated and executed between 2024 and 2025 with another €10 million planned until 2028, as part of a roadmap that the council links to transformative actions and local improvements.
The investment package includes ongoing or executed projects in areas such as education, culture, industry, sports, energy efficiency, and urban improvement. Among the most notable projects are the €5.5 million allocated for the expansion and improvement of the IES Ximén d’Urrea high school, €1.4 million for the new municipal library, €2 million for the modernization of industrial estates, and over €1.1 million for the new multifunctional space Nau BIC.
The plan also includes the acquisition of land from the former Sanchis factory and the future green space of El Moreral, the replacement of the football field's artificial turf, improvements to sports facilities, the expansion of cemetery niches, urban renewal of the old town of La Foia, and the adaptation of the music band's rehearsal space. Continuous interventions on public roads, paths, and lighting are also added to these actions, aiming to improve municipal services and everyday spaces.
For the 2026-2028 period, the City Council plans to mobilize another €10 million. Of this amount, €4.6 million will be co-financed through credit operations, while the rest will come from own funds or other possible subsidies. Priority actions include the demolition of the old Sanchis factory, considered a prerequisite for the construction of the future nursing home. New plans for street and road improvements, another phase of recovery for the Real Fábrica, actions in sports facilities, and improvements in parks and gardens are also contemplated.
The council frames these investments within the ongoing proximity plan 'L'Alcora Creix', along with other municipal initiatives aimed at responding to residents' demands.
