The L'Alcora City Council has tendered the reform and energy improvement project for the municipal indoor swimming pool, an investment of 269,000 euros to modernize the facilities.

The council has opened the tender process for the reform and energy improvement of the indoor swimming pool's facilities and envelope. This action is part of the l’Alcora Creix investment plan, aiming to continue advancing in the modernization of public services and the improvement of municipal facilities. The works, budgeted at 269,000 euros, are expected to take five months to complete.
The indoor pool, built in 2002, has undergone several improvements in recent years. However, the passage of time and the demanding humidity and temperature conditions typical of such facilities necessitated a more extensive intervention to reinforce its conservation, optimize energy performance, and ensure more efficient and sustainable operation.
The project involves a comprehensive intervention across various spaces within the building. Key actions include improving the thermal insulation of the facades and renewing windows to reduce energy loss and prevent condensation. Interventions will also be carried out to protect the structure from humidity and extend the facility's lifespan. Furthermore, essential technical areas such as the filtration room, basement, and machine room will be addressed, incorporating new ventilation systems, renewing piping, and improving thermal and potable water installations for greater efficiency, reliability, and easier maintenance.
Additionally, the project includes other improvements directly benefiting users, such as the renovation of the sauna, the replacement of the pool area lighting system with LED technology, improvements to the south facade's curtain wall, and the refurbishment of various elements in the restrooms and changing rooms.

"This action responds to a very clear idea: to continue caring for and improving facilities that are part of the daily lives of many people in l’Alcora and surrounding municipalities. The indoor pool is one of the most used sports services in the municipality, and we want it to offer the best comfort conditions and greater efficiency."

"This project, in addition to addressing elements that are often unseen but are fundamental to the building's operation, will also have a direct impact on the user experience and the facility's sustainability. Within the Plan l’Alcora Creix, we continue to advance with investments that help maintain and modernize our public spaces, because growing also means taking care of what is already part of the municipality's daily life."
