This project, with an estimated execution period of one month, primarily aims to adapt the southern sidewalk of the street to current accessibility regulations. Currently, this area shows significant deterioration that hinders passage, especially for elderly people, those with reduced mobility, or with baby strollers.
The works include the demolition of the existing pavement, the execution of a new base, and the installation of new adapted pavement and curbs. Additionally, storm drains will be relocated to improve drainage in the area. These actions will allow for a complete renovation of the section and its adaptation to the conditions required by public spaces, ensuring a safer and continuous route.
The intervention will also address detected problems, such as sidewalk deterioration caused by tree roots, which have affected its functionality. The City Council emphasizes that this action is not an isolated event but rather part of the 'l'Alcora Creix' plan's implementation, which is already materializing with concrete interventions.
“"This is the best example that the plan is not just a forecast, but a reality already underway, with actions that respond to real daily needs."
With this first action, the council reinforces its commitment to a working method based on proximity, planning, and execution, combining larger-scale projects with concrete improvements that directly impact the quality of life for the citizens of L'Alcora.
