The Castellón Provincial Council has launched the book 'The Parish Church of Figueroles. Its History Through Time', a publication celebrating the historical and cultural heritage of Figueroles.

The provincial institution, through its Publications Service, has edited this work that compiles centuries of history and tradition connected to this municipality in Alcalatén. The book, authored by Amadeu Porcar, traces the evolution of the parish of Sant Mateu from its origins to the present day, covering key moments such as the construction of the current church.

"This book not only teaches us history. It turns our gaze back to our own town. It reminds us that identity is not inherited automatically. It is built, cared for, and passed down."

Marisa Torlà · Deputy for Publications
The Deputy for Publications, Marisa Torlà, emphasized the importance of preserving and disseminating the heritage of towns. She highlighted that "caring for our memory is not a symbolic gesture, it is a collective responsibility. It is betting on the identity of our province, on its traditions, on its culture, and on the essence of towns like Figueroles, which represent the authenticity and richness of our territory".
