The governing team of San Vicente del Raspeig, formed by Partido Popular and Vox, owes 31,400 euros in direct school canteen aid to 49 families, affecting the 0-3 year old service.

The socialist municipal group has publicly denounced that the governing team of San Vicente del Raspeig maintains a debt of 31,400 euros in direct aid for school canteens for children aged 0 to 3. This amount corresponds to a subsidy approved by decree on December 29, 2025, with a total amount of 53,420 euros, which has not yet been settled.
According to the PSOE, the beneficiary families should have received at least two of the three payments that make up this municipal aid. The situation has led some families to withdraw their children from the nursery school canteen service, as they cannot afford the payment due to the “unjustified” delay in receiving these aids.

"The aid was approved in 2025 and should have been charged to last year's budget, as has happened with other aid and subsidies, but the lack of management and consensus of the governing team has caused the payment to be delayed, depending directly on a budget that came into force in April. It is an absurdity."

the PSOE spokesperson
The aid, requested between October and November and validated in December of last year by the Social Rights area, should have been paid from January. The socialist spokesperson directly blames the governing team, pointing out that this problem is a direct consequence of having approved the budget in April due to the “neglect” of the parties that comprise it.
The subsidy covers the monthly expenses derived from the canteen service for children aged 0 to 3 who attend Early Childhood Education Centers for the 25/26 academic year. The objective of this item is to assist families with personal, family, economic, and social difficulties who require support for canteen expenses.
The PSOE adds that the concession has not been officially communicated to the families, generating uncertainty. Although justification of canteen expenses has been requested, “the first six months have not been paid despite being justified.” The socialist group emphasizes that the governing team “does not care for the most vulnerable families” and that their “null management” prevents many from affording their children's canteen.
