The 14th edition of the pyromusical spectacle Arribada del Foc will once again fill Alicante with light, gunpowder, and sound during the Hogueras de Sant Joan festivities. This event, established as one of the most anticipated, will take place on Wednesday, June 17th, at 11:30 PM, in front of the El Corte Inglés facade, next to Plaza de la Estrella.
The event will bring together thousands of Alicantinians with a proposal that combines music, lighting, and pyrotechnic effects to symbolize the arrival of fire to the main days of the Hogueras. This year's edition incorporates creative and technical novelties, featuring a greater amount of gunpowder, increased lighting power, and a duration of approximately twelve minutes.
The 14th Arribada del Foc will feature 48,000 grams of regulated material, 60,000 watts of sound distributed across several points, and a 40,000-watt lighting system designed to surround the Plaza de la Estrella and ensure the spectacle can be enjoyed homogeneously by attendees.
The Director of Communication for El Corte Inglés in Alicante, Silvia Aguilar, highlighted the excitement of collaborating for the first time with Pirotecnia Mediterráneo, which will introduce significant creative and firing innovations to surprise the audience.
The president of the Federació de Fogueres, David Olivares, explained that the pyrotechnic load, lighting wattage, and duration will be increased compared to the previous year. The show will commence with a live voice dedicating its opening to the media outlets that help promote the Fogueras de Sant Joan.
Following this opening, the Belleses del Foc 2026, María Pastor and Leire Arellano, accompanied by the director of El Corte Inglés, will signal the pyrotechnician to begin. The soundtrack will include the pasodoble Xabia, Todos los besos by Siloé, Berghain by Rosalía, and Sweet Caroline by DJ Ötzi. As is tradition, it will conclude with the chorus of the Himno de Hogueras.
The event is sponsored by El Corte Inglés of Alicante, organized by the Federació de les Fogueres de Sant Joan, and involves Pirotecnia Mediterráneo and Alson Espectacles for the technical aspects.
