The Ministry of Health has confirmed that it has filled all the positions offered for specialized training in Nursing, with 194 internal resident nurses (EIR) joining the public health system in the Valencian Community.

This selection process, which began on April 23 and will conclude on May 27, has resulted in all Nursing positions being assigned. The training, which will last two years, will commence on June 5. The province of Alicante will host 75 of these residents, while Castellón will receive 21, and Valencia, 98.
Among the most in-demand specialties are Family and Community Nursing (73 positions), Obstetric-Gynecological Nursing (66 positions), Pediatric Nursing (18 positions), and Mental Health Nursing (23 positions). Positions for Occupational Health Nursing (13) and Geriatric Nursing (1) have also been filled.

"Of the top 15 future residents in the Obstetric-Gynecological specialty with the best scores nationwide, four have chosen hospitals in the Valencian Community."

It is noteworthy that some of the highest-scoring candidates nationwide have chosen Valencian centers. Specifically, the second and ninth best scores in the national exam have selected the Hospital General Doctor Balmis in Alicante for their training in Obstetric-Gynecological Nursing. Likewise, the twelfth and thirteenth positions have opted for the Hospital Doctor Peset in Valencia.
The Ministry of Health has increased the offer of specialized health training positions by almost 7% compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 1,189 positions across various specialties for the entire Valencian Community. This increase aims to strengthen the training of future healthcare professionals, leveraging the fact that all hospitals in the region have university accreditation since last year.
