The Alicante delegation held a total of 19 commercial meetings with shipping companies and international operators during the event. These contacts served to present Alicante's strengths as a destination and a strategic Mediterranean hub, as well as to strengthen existing relationships and explore new avenues of collaboration.
One of the most notable outcomes of Alicante's presence at the fair has been the possibility of incorporating two new homeports. This advancement aligns with the port's roadmap to attract premium cruises and higher value-added operations, reinforcing Alicante's position in the sector.
“"The evolution of the destination and the growing industry interest in Alicante consolidate the port's positioning in the international cruise market."
The port highlights both the available infrastructure and the role of the city and province as a gateway to a wide and diversified tourist offering. The Alicante destination combines coastline, inland areas, culture, gastronomy, and experiences throughout the year, factors that enhance its appeal to companies and specialized operators.
The Port Authority of Alicante has positively assessed the fair's development and emphasized the importance of institutional coordination and public-private collaboration to continue advancing the port's international positioning. With this assessment, the Port of Alicante faces the coming years with forecasts of sustained growth, intending to maintain the expansion of cruise traffic and generate economic impact in the province.
