Pirotecnia del Mediterráneo thrilled the Plaza de los Luceros in Alicante this Sunday during the 20th Mascletà Contest, drawing thousands of spectators.

The display, lasting 5 minutes and 26 seconds, consumed 150 kilos of pyrotechnic material and reached a peak of 128 decibels, exciting the thousands of attendees who filled the area around the square.
The mascletà began with a Valencian firecracker sequence, followed by a combination of classic and innovative firing techniques, with digital touches that modulated the rhythm. After four phases of surprising aerial effects, alternated with ground effects, a final blow signaled the transition to rope fireworks.

"We hope to have lived up to what is known as the Colosseum of Gunpowder."

The piece named 'Partitura Mediterráneo' sounded with powerful 'house brand' calibers. After five retentions with aerial fire, the anticipated earthquake arrived. The display concluded with an aerial bombardment and a decisive, resounding dry hit as its finale.
