The MARQ Foundation and the la Caixa Foundation have renewed their collaboration agreement today to promote cultural access for vulnerable groups in Alicante.

The agreement, which has a budget of 30,000 euros, aims to democratize access to heritage and history. This collaboration, which has been ongoing for a decade, seeks to develop training, educational, and social programs that ensure equal opportunities for everyone.
During 2025, this alliance enabled the development of numerous initiatives, such as guided tours for families, the MARQ accessibility portal, and the creation of adapted resources. These include easy-to-read guides, tactile maps, and 3D-printed replicas for people with diverse abilities.
The project also serves to promote actions with a significant social impact in the city, such as the Un hospital de cuento program at the Alicante General Hospital or labor insertion initiatives for people deprived of liberty at the Fontcalent penitentiary center. Additionally, collaboration continues with social organizations to support the elderly and people with functional diversity.
