The Federació de Fogueres has confirmed that Loreto Brotons and María José Sáez will be in charge of leading the proclamation gala for the Belleas del Foc 2026. This event, where the sashes will be presented to the highest representatives of the Fiesta, will take place two weeks after the election at the Plaza de Toros.
After a previous edition where the ceremony was moved to the Town Hall square, this year the event returns to its usual venue, the Teatro Principal de Alicante. The proclamation for the children's representatives will be held on Friday, May 15, while that for the adults will be on Saturday, May 16.
The selection of the 'mantenedoras' reflects the Federació's intention to feature figures close to the city and the Fiesta itself, capable of conveying emotion and accompanying the Belleas del Foc during one of the most important moments of their year. Additionally, this year's gala will include musical premieres to be performed live during the sash presentation, a detail aimed at reinforcing the solemnity of the ceremony.

The adult 'mantenedora', Loreto Brotons, president of the Provincial Association of Alicante Women with Breast Cancer (Apamm), stated that her intervention will be "very heartfelt and emotional, dedicated to them and their ladies." For her part, the children's 'mantenedora', María José Sáez, has experienced the Fiesta from within in various roles, such as maid of honor for the Bellea del Foc and election judge.

The president of the Federació de Fogueres, David Olivares, highlighted the importance of recovering the Teatro Principal as the main venue and noted that this year a novelty will be introduced that the organization hopes will become a tradition: the live performance of a musical fantasy composed by Miguel Ángel Mataix and performed by the Sant Joan d’Alacant band during the sash presentation.

This piece, which will be registered to limit its performance exclusively to this event, aims to match the solemnity of the proclamation with similar events from other festivals. Additionally, the band will remain on stage throughout the gala.
