The Local Governance Network of the Comunitat Valenciana has solidified its expansion with the adherence of 109 local entities, strengthening the culture of open government and institutional integrity throughout the territory.

This collaborative platform, co-directed by the Generalitat and the provincial councils of Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia, offers city councils and commonwealths a coordination space to harmonize good governance policies. The objective is to ensure that transparency effectively reaches all citizens, with special attention to municipalities with fewer technical and budgetary resources.
The operation of the Network facilitates support for local corporations in designing citizen participation strategies and complying with transparency standards. Beyond being a mere registry, the platform acts as a public innovation forum where joint work lines are defined.
Its main functions include planning training activities, creating regulatory compliance guides, and promoting projects that bring administration closer to citizens through active listening. This model of territorial cooperation seeks to build a common identity based on good governance throughout the Comunitat Valenciana.
The Network has shown consistent growth, increasing from 64 municipalities at the end of 2024 to 99 by the close of 2025, reaching the current 109. This momentum reflects the willingness of local corporations to adopt more open management models, aligned with the demands of a society that requires greater access to public information and constant accountability.
