Generalitat reiterates support for Port of Alicante

The President of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, has confirmed the Consell's support for the Port of Alicante, highlighting its importance for economic competitiveness.

The President of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, met today with the President of the Port Authority of Alicante, Luis Rodríguez, to convey the Consell's support for the expansion, modernization, and environmental transformation projects of the port.
During the meeting, the head of the Consell emphasized the Generalitat's support for actions that strengthen the competitiveness of the port entity and, by extension, the Alicantine economy. These actions include the port's expansion and modernization, the promotion of new logistics infrastructures, and environmental transformation towards a more efficient model prepared for current challenges.
The meeting also served to positively assess the evolution of cargo traffic at the Port of Alicante, as well as the growth of its cruise tourism offering. Both lines are considered strategic for the economic activity of the city and its area of influence.
This meeting is part of the series of contacts that the head of the Consell is undertaking with business and economic representatives from the Valencian Community, with the aim of understanding their needs and supporting projects that enhance the competitiveness of the productive sector.
