The tender includes 69 properties in the Alicante neighborhood of Benisaudet and 57 in the Benisaet sector of Torrent, within the framework of the Plan VIVE Comunitat Valenciana. These developments are part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union with Next Generation funds.

The first vice-president and Minister of Housing, Employment, Youth, and Equality, Susana Camarero, highlighted that these tenders respond to the "need to create protected housing to meet growing demand," making it a primary citizen concern.
Camarero stated that the Consell is promoting a "paradigm shift" in public housing with "developments featuring innovative urban interventions, designed with energy efficiency criteria." The goal is to create sustainable buildings with low environmental impact, ensuring savings for tenants and offering dynamic, adaptable living spaces.
The project in Alicante has a tender budget of 12,428,428 euros and an estimated construction time of 24 months. The building, located on EVHA property, will include 69 homes, community use spaces, and a basement with 77 parking spaces. The design prioritizes accessibility, adaptation for people with functional diversity, and social and economic sustainability criteria.
The tender in Torrent has a budget of 12,193,940 euros for the construction of 57 homes on an EVHA plot. The complex will have two basement levels, a ground floor, and five upper floors, centered around a large common area. It will offer 1, 2, and 3-bedroom homes, three of which are reserved for people with disabilities. The basements will accommodate 57 car parking spaces, 18 for motorcycles, and 58 for bicycles.
Additionally, in Torrent, the Generalitat is already constructing another 28 protected homes through industrialization, with an investment of 15 million euros, as part of the Plan VIVE Dana to expedite projects following floods.
With these tenders, the Generalitat's Plan VIVE aims to significantly increase the supply of protected housing in the region, with the goal of building 10,000 new properties during this legislature to facilitate access to decent and affordable housing.
