The Valencian Institute of Culture presents the sixth edition of FRESCA!, the International Performing Arts Festival of Alicante, which will take place from July 13 to 25 with a program focused on dance, theater, circus, flamenco, and family-oriented events.

The event will once again turn Alicante into a meeting point for contemporary performing arts, featuring performances by Valencian companies and national and international acts. The festival will combine large-scale productions, family shows, and street activities, utilizing various venues across the city.
The regional secretary of Culture, Marta Alonso, highlighted that the Generalitat and the IVC work “continuously to guarantee access to culture throughout the territory, generate opportunities for the sector, and bring quality artistic proposals to citizens”. For her part, the territorial delegate of the IVC in Alicante, Ana Bonmatí, pointed out that the festival “has established itself, in just six editions, as one of the major cultural events of the summer in our province”.
The Jardines de la Diputación will host FRESCA! Al Carrer, with two free street performances. The Casa del Mediterráneo, with a capacity of nearly 400 seats, will be the venue for large-format shows on July 17, 19, 21, 23, and 25, at 10:00 PM.
The festival also revives Espai Frescoreta!, aimed at families, with four medium-format performances on July 18, 20, 22, and 24, at 8:00 PM. Additionally, it will feature La Terracita de FRESCA!, the festival's bar.
Tickets for the Escenario FRESCA! shows will have a general price of 24 euros, while the Frescoreta! performances will cost a flat rate of 5 euros. The festival maintains a discount policy to facilitate access to culture, with tickets at 10 euros for children under 14, a 50% discount for young people aged 14 to 30, and a 20% reduction for retirees, DARDE cardholders, students, people with functional diversity, large families, and professional performing arts associations.
Furthermore, the Abono Refresc will be available again, allowing attendance to three Escenario FRESCA! shows for 36 euros.
