The fourth PCR test conducted on the woman under observation in Alicante for suspected hantavirus has returned negative. The patient will remain hospitalized at the Alicante hospital and will be able to receive visitors with appropriate safety measures.

According to the Ministry of Health's protocol, the woman will be able to receive visits from first-degree relatives starting next Monday, with restricted hours. The hospital has established a specific protocol with exhaustive safety measures to ensure the protection of both the patient and visitors.
On Friday, May 22nd, a new sample will be taken for another PCR test, which will be sent to the National Microbiology Center for analysis. The Ministry of Health activated the necessary resources from the outset to ensure epidemiological safety and surveillance.
The 32-year-old woman was evacuated on Friday, May 8th, from her home to a hospital in the province of Alicante in an ambulance equipped with the relevant safety equipment. Once at the hospital, she was transferred to a negative pressure room to ensure her isolation, using a separate route from other patients and staff.
