Ninots from Diputació-Renfe and Sagrada Familia saved from the flames

The Hogueras Federation announces the ninots pardoned in the Ninot Exhibition, which broke attendance records with over 11,000 visitors.

Alicante now knows which ninots will be saved from the flames in the 2026 Hogueras. The Diputació-Renfe and Sagrada Familia commissions have secured the pardon for their adult and child ninots, respectively, following a popular vote.

The Hogueras Federation has announced the results of the popular vote for the pardon of the 2026 Hogueras ninots. Federation president David Olivares read the official record to numerous representatives of commissions and 'barracas' gathered outside the old Fish Market, where the exhibition was held.
This year's Ninot Exhibition set an attendance record, attracting over 11,000 visitors. A total of 25,681 votes were cast across the various categories of the exhibition.
In the Best Barracas Ninot category, the Barraca Peña Los Gorilas received the most votes with 1,613, followed by Barraca Tard pero Acertat (1,468 votes) and Barraca El Cabasset (941 votes).
Regarding the Child Ninot Indultat (pardoned ninot), the Sagrada Família commission earned the pardon with 1,966 votes. Baver-Els Antigons came in second (941 votes), and Mercado Central third (829 votes).
The Diputació-Renfe hoguera commission will experience a historic moment this year, as for the first time since its founding, one of its ninots has been pardoned from the fire. With 1,895 votes, the adult ninot from Diputació-Renfe joins the list of pardoned figures, marking a significant event in the commission's festive memory. The second position in this category went to Florida-Portazgo (1,279 votes), and the third to Mercado Central (989 votes).
