Elche CF defender Víctor Chust has expressed his confidence in the team's ability to earn points, highlighting the lessons learned from defeats and their strength at home.

The Valencian central defender, a key player in the green-and-white team's defense, has been a regular in Eder Sarabia's lineups during his first season. Following the victory against Valencia, his former youth club, and with the upcoming match against Atlético de Madrid in mind, Chust gave an interview for the club's social media.

"Now a very tough opponent is coming, and I'm sure we will perform well at home."

After three months without a win, Elche has now secured two consecutive victories at the Martínez Valero. Therefore, the defender is confident in the team's level heading into the end of the season. Despite their strong home performance, the team has yet to win away, a pending task they hope to resolve soon.

"We have learned a lot from defeats, and I think it has shown in these last few matches. We will fight until the end, and I am sure we will achieve away victories."

Before joining the team, Chust did not have the best experiences with Elche. In the 24/25 season, while playing for Cádiz, he lost both matches against his current team. However, that season was crucial for him to become a green-and-white player, thanks to the interest shown by the club's sports management.
The Valencian defender has highlighted the great affection from the green-and-white fans since his arrival, feeling very supported. Currently, Chust is on loan until the end of the season, but he does not rule out continuing in the city, as the board is happy with him and he with the club, creating a perfect communion between fans and the entity.
Additionally, Chust shared a funny anecdote from his professional debut in the Copa del Rey 2020/21, when Alcoyano defeated Real Madrid 2-1. He was surprised by Zidane in his room, who informed him he would be starting, a moment he recalls with humor despite the loss.
