The initiative, supported by the Alicante City Council, the Alicante Provincial Council, and the Fogueres and Folklore federations, seeks to highlight the cultural heritage of the city's official festivities. The first activities focus on festive music, with a concert by the Colla Federal at Las Cigarreras and the XIX Andrés Llorens Band Festival in the La Florida neighborhood.
During the presentation, the Councilor for Culture invited citizens and visitors to participate in the concerts, exhibitions, and the traditional dançà to learn more about the festive roots. Among the novelties is the premiere of the work Pregó de Fogueres, dedicated to the Colla Federal.
The cultural agenda includes highlights such as the Ninot Exhibition at the Lonja del Pescado and an exhibition on the figure of Don Quixote in the bonfires, which will open at the Municipal Archive. Additionally, on June 7th, Constitución Avenue will host the Folklore Exhibition with craft workshops and traditional instruments.
“"I encourage all Alicante residents and visitors to attend the concerts, exhibitions, and dançà to enjoy the festive atmosphere and learn more about our traditions and roots."
The calendar of events will conclude on June 23rd with the traditional dançà around the Official Bonfire, located in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, marking the end of a program that combines symphonic music and popular folklore.
