The Council of Ministers has authorized an investment of 19.8 million euros in the company Good Films Studios Spain to boost a film production center at Ciudad de la Luz in Alicante.

This operation, framed within a public-private partnership, aims to establish an independent film studio in Spain capable of handling large-scale international projects. According to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, the initiative will allow for the production of globally competitive titles, in addition to retaining national intellectual property.
The new company, linked to the British corporation Good Films, will be located in the Alicante facilities. The central administration highlights that this project will generate a significant impact on the audiovisual sector, incentivizing local employment, the development of training plans, and the attraction of qualified talent.
Economic forecasts point to a direct investment of 215 million euros in the first five years, to which another 390 million derived from indirect effects should be added. The activity will mobilize an ecosystem of technical and artistic professionals and auxiliary companies from various sectors, ranging from logistics to digital creative services.
The production company has confirmed that it plans to shoot twenty films over a decade at Ciudad de la Luz. Among the announced titles are People of the book, which has already begun filming, as well as American paradise and Man who stole the sky.
