During the first half of the year, a total of 47 women received care at this center. The facility is part of the regional network promoted by the Generalitat, which has supported 478 women across the Valencian Community.
The centers, located in Alicante, Castellón de la Plana, and Valencia, offer specialized service available 24 hours a day. Care can be received in person, by phone, or online, and is focused on the prevention, protection, and accompaniment of victims.
“"The fight against violence against women requires specialized resources, institutional coordination, and committed professionals so that no victim feels alone when facing a sexual assault."
One of the main features of these resources is that they allow access to psychological, social, and legal help without the need to file a prior police report. Furthermore, care extends to family members and the victim's inner circle, including accompaniment to police, health, or judicial resources when necessary.
The assistance network has recently expanded with six new resources, including the three Crisis Centers and the 14-hour Women's Center in Elche. Additionally, two residential centers for victims of trafficking have been incorporated, bringing the total to 31 centers and 374 available places across the region.
