El Campello is preparing for a vibrant weekend with a cultural and festive agenda that includes theater, music, and the celebration of the María Auxiliadora festivity.

This Friday, May 22, the adult Performing Arts Workshop (TAE) will stage the play "Roberto Zucco" by Bernard-Marie Koltès, directed by Andrés Aiza. The performance, inspired by real events, tells the story of an Italian serial killer with mystical undertones. The event will take place at 8:30 PM in the Pedro Vaello auditorium of the Casa de Cultura.
The following day, Saturday, May 23, culture continues at the Casa de Cultura with a concert by the band of the Associació Musical L’Avanç, under the direction of Luis Seguí. Titled "De Chapí a flamenco-jazz", the concert will feature the voices of lyrical singers Ascensión Padilla, Belén Sellés, and Armando Andreu. The event starts at 7:30 PM.
Tradition will take to the streets on Saturday starting at 6:00 PM. In the Plaza de la Iglesia, the Grup Salpassa will celebrate its 40th anniversary with the "christening" of their new "gegants" (giants), Carme and Cento, sponsored by María Ángels Sequero and Emilio Baeza. Afterward, there will be a street parade with the Colla Larraix and the La Nova band, a traditional dance exhibition, and live music with a DJ until late.
On Sunday, May 24, El Campello will celebrate the María Auxiliadora festivity. The day will begin with the traditional pilgrimage from the Plaza de la Iglesia to the Salesianos school at 11:00 AM. After a field mass, there will be a horse exhibition, a communal meal, and the presentation of children to the Virgin. The return pilgrimage to the town center will be at 7:00 PM, with the image being handed over to the family that will host the statue for the year.
