CSIF's national leadership considers the agreement signed with the Generalitat to represent "a real improvement" in the pay and working conditions of Valencian teachers. It highlights a €200 increase in the specific complement, six days of personal leave, and recognition of digital disconnection. The union frames this signing as an act of responsibility but warns that the pact is "not a blank cheque" to the Consell and that they do not renounce future actions if further improvements are not achieved.
CSIF also recalls that the decision was approved by a majority in its regional Executive Committee and asserts its independence from political or economic interests. Furthermore, it compares the Valencian agreement with those in other regions, noting that CSIF did not sign a €140 increase in Asturias that other unions supported, nor did it endorse the Catalan agreement, which it deems less favorable.
Meanwhile, CSIF's provincial structure in Alicante introduces relevant nuances. In an internal statement, it explains that the Ministry of Education would only negotiate if the process was divided into blocks, and that if this format was not accepted, "it would not sit down to negotiate." Therefore, CSIF Alicante maintains that signing the first block, which includes the salary increase and days of personal leave, does not mean abandoning other demands.
The union emphasizes its willingness to continue negotiations and criticizes the dissemination of "misleading information" by other organizations. It also proposes that proportional salary deductions should not be applied to teachers who have participated in the strike. The tone is more combative, stating they will remain at the negotiating table "whether the other unions like it or not" and warning that if "beneficial agreements for all teachers" are not reached, they reserve the right to call for a strike again.
This situation is compounded by a series of resignations from members in CSIF Alicante who disagree with the union leadership's methods of action and decision-making.
