The Compromís municipal group in the Alicante City Council has demanded that the local government of the Partido Popular provide a detailed schedule of the works planned under the new public road maintenance contract.

The coalition has focused on overseeing the new sidewalk and pavement repair service, which has a budget of 8 million euros for a four-year period. The group's spokesperson has requested precise information on the specific locations where work will be carried out to evaluate the planning of the projects.
The coalition has criticized the current state of various urban spaces and questioned the distribution of the interventions. They pointed out that there are historical demands from neighborhood associations that have yet to be addressed, while the first actions are being concentrated in central areas such as Gerona street.

"We have requested the schedule of actions governed by the aforementioned contract, mentioning streets, action, and date."

The contract, awarded to the company ACSA Obras e Infraestructuras, aims to conserve and improve sidewalks, squares, and other complementary elements of municipal roads. The coalition's request seeks to ensure that the management of public resources responds to the real needs of all neighborhoods in the city.
