Brasad'or's winning entry was the 'Cured beef croquette', chosen by popular vote. Second place went to Cheos with its 'Teriyaki chicken croquette', and La Favorita restaurant secured third prize with its 'Carbonara croquette'.
“"Citizens found it very difficult to choose the three best proposals because all of them deserved to win. These festivals are an attraction and revalue our restaurants and their cuisine both nationally and internationally. We are very proud of the success of the championship and this public recognition with high participation."
The Councillor for Hospitality congratulated the winners, highlighting the excellence and quality of the fourteen proposals presented. She also emphasized the diversity and innovation of the chefs' talent, which contributes to revaluing local gastronomy as a hallmark of identity at this festival.
Thousands of people participated in the voting, evaluating the presentation, texture, and flavor of the croquettes. In the previous edition, the award for the best croquette went to Cheos with its 'Truffled ham croquette'. This second edition of the festival was extended to five days and featured fourteen establishments, which offered their proposals in packs of three croquettes in Plaza de Séneca, accompanied by live music, DJs, and various activities.
The festival closes its doors with a very positive balance and is already preparing for a third edition. The initiative was promoted by Alicante Street Style and Alacant Street Market, in collaboration with the Alicante City Council.
