The pyrotechnics company Alto Palancia from Castellón marked the end of the Hogueras de San Juan firecracker contest in Alicante with a six-minute and 25-second display at the Plaza de los Luceros.

The pyrotechnic spectacle utilized the maximum allowed gunpowder, 150 kilograms, combining five terrestrial fire retentions, four aerial phases, and five final 'terremoto' (earthquake) sequences. The performance included two distinct aerial finales, capped with thunderous bangs and charras, aiming to intensify the sound impact at the conclusion.
Upon the mascletà's end, the audience expressed their satisfaction with applause and cheers. Many attendees called for the company's representative, who approached the barriers for photographs. Comments such as ‘this is a real mascletà’ were common among enthusiasts.
From the balconies surrounding the Plaza de los Luceros, scoring signs were displayed, mostly showing a nine, and many spectators waved white handkerchiefs in recognition of Alto Palancia's performance.
Following the display, firefighters maintained a closed perimeter near the firing zone to remove unexploded devices, a standard procedure to ensure safety before reopening public access.
