The conference, which maintains its format of practical demonstrations and direct encounters, will kick off on Thursday, May 21, at Casa Bardin with illustrator Paula Alenda. This initiative, now established in the province, will bring together renowned professionals from the sector to encourage the exchange of experiences.
“"For the Provincial Council, it is a source of pride to support, for the third consecutive year, an initiative that champions illustration and comic books, disciplines in which the province excels, and to give visibility to professionals."
The program will continue on Saturday, May 23, at Casa Mediterráneo, with the participation of Arly Jones, Ana María Muñoz, Fran Ferriz, and Gema Over. Each illustrator will lead two masterclasses at tables equipped with the necessary materials, allowing for close interaction with registered attendees.
The director of the IAC, Cristina Martínez, explained that the philosophy of these conferences is not that of traditional lectures or workshops, but rather an exchange of experiences. Artists discuss their careers and working methods, while the public can participate with questions or by showcasing their own work.
This edition brings together four great artists from different disciplines, maintaining gender parity with two men and two women. Among the participants, Arly Jones will share his experience in animation cinema, Ana María Muñoz will present her winning work from the Universo Goya comic contest, Fran Ferriz will discuss his career in successful sagas, and Gema Over, an illustrator and content creator, will complete the program.
