The Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport expects a 10.63% increase in scheduled operations for the start of summer, between June 26 and July 5, compared to the same period in 2025.

Between Friday, June 26, and Sunday, July 5, a total of 4,475 movements (departures and arrivals) are projected, compared to 4,045 in the same interval of 2025, according to Aena data. The day with the highest expected activity is this Saturday, with 482 flights.
This increase anticipates a record outcome for the month of July, which in 2025 closed with 2,106,991 travelers. August of that year also surpassed two million passengers. The summer season continues to concentrate the highest number of operations, despite the trend towards de-seasonalization since 2024.
The Association of Airlines (ALA) forecast a 14.1% growth in ticket supply for the summer season at the Alicante airport. However, the hotel association Hosbec anticipates a slight decrease in hotel occupancy for August on the Costa Blanca.
With data closed until May, the airport has accumulated 7,937,610 passengers, 9% more than in the same period of 2025. If this pace is maintained, over 21 million travelers could be exceeded in 2026, breaking the historical barrier of 19.9 million.
