The Generalitat Valenciana has admitted for processing the application by CF Intercity to declare Alicante Park, the planned leisure and sports complex in Rabasa, a Project of Regional Interest (PIA).

This administrative step will allow progress in the planning of an initiative that aims to become a new hub of economic activity in the city of Alicante, with an investment exceeding 60 million euros. The complex, designed to host large-format concerts, sports and cultural events, as well as dining and leisure areas throughout the year, reinforces the project's strategic importance for the city and the Valencian Community.
The Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, Infraestructuras y Territorio will now require CF Intercity to provide a provisional guarantee, equivalent to 1% of the investment budget (with a maximum of 500,000 euros), to support the proposal's viability. This deposit will be returned once the Consell approves the project's final declaration.
Alicante Park will include infrastructure for concerts with a capacity for over 30,000 attendees and an initial football stadium with 10,000 seats, which can be expanded. The creation of more than 200 direct jobs and the transformation of the Rabasa area are anticipated.
The recent acquisition of the land, approximately 100,000 square meters in Rabasa for 2,604,500 euros, represents another significant step towards the project's realization, aiming to establish itself as an economic and entertainment driver for Alicante.
