The Juan Gil-Albert Alicante Institute of Culture and Casa Mediterráneo have presented the third conference on illustration and comic books, which will take place in Alicante on May 21 and 23, featuring practical demonstrations and the participation of renowned artists.

Illustrator Paula Alenda will inaugurate this edition on Thursday, May 21, at Casa Bardin, at 7 PM. A spokesperson for the Provincial Council expressed the entity's pride in supporting, for the third consecutive year, an initiative that promotes illustration and comic books, disciplines in which the province excels and provides visibility to professionals.
The meetings will continue on Saturday, May 23, with illustrators Arly Jones, Ana María Muñoz, Fran Ferriz, and Gema Over. A spokesperson noted that, once again, four great artists from different disciplines are brought together, maintaining gender parity in the selection. The activities, which require prior registration, will be held at Casa Mediterráneo, with four morning and four afternoon sessions, distributed from 10 AM to 12 PM, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and 6 PM to 8 PM, plus two additional sessions from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 8 PM.
Continuing with the format of the first edition, each illustrator will give two masterclasses at specially equipped tables with the necessary materials, fostering direct contact with registered attendees. The IAC director clarified that these are not conferences or workshops, but rather an exchange of experiences where artists discuss their careers and working methods with an audience that can also participate with questions or by showcasing their own work.

"These are not conferences or workshops. The philosophy of these sessions is to become an exchange of experiences, with meetings where artists talk about their careers and how they work before an audience that also participates with questions or by showing their own work."
