After days of high temperatures, the province of Alicante is experiencing a shift in weather. Aemet has activated a yellow level warning for coastal phenomena on the southern coast from midday, with wind gusts that could reach 50 to 60 km/h and waves of two to three meters. This change will bring a cooler atmosphere and increased cloud cover, especially along the coast.

Maximum temperatures are dropping sharply inland, while changes are less noticeable on the coast. Minimum temperatures are also slightly decreasing in inland areas. Wind will be a key factor, blowing from the northeast with moderate intensity along the coast, creating a cooler and more unpleasant sensation by the sea. Inland, the wind will be lighter, but with a predominance of easterly and northerly components.

In towns like Alicante, the easterly and northeasterly wind will be the main feature, with gusts potentially exceeding 40 km/h and a cooler feel, especially in the afternoon. In Benidorm, the northerly wind will be intense, with gusts over 60 km/h, altering sea conditions. In Torrevieja, the northeasterly wind will blow strongly, with gusts around 50 km/h.

In other parts of the province, such as Elche and Orihuela, temperatures will remain high for the season, though with a slight adjustment from the previous day's intense heat. In Elda, the heat will continue to be prominent, with highs of 27 degrees. However, in Alcoy and Dénia, the change will be more noticeable, with cooler temperatures and a chance of light rain in Alcoy.
