The Teatre Arniches in Alicante offers a double scenic proposal this week with contemporary theater and dance, including the production Las Apariciones and the show Internacional from the Abril en Danza Festival.

The program kicks off on Friday, April 24 at 8:30 PM with Las Apariciones, a production by the National Dramatic Center and the Exlímite Company. This autofiction work, written and performed by Fernando Delgado-Hierro alongside Pablo Chaves, explores the weight of the past and roots through the encounter of two childhood friends.
The production reinforces the trajectory of Exlímite, one of the most unique formations in the contemporary scenic landscape. The company, led by Fernando Delgado Hierro, has stood out in recent years for its work on new theatrical languages and a creative line focused on memory and perception. With Las Apariciones, the author delves into a sensory and daring dramaturgy that consolidates the group's artistic hallmark.
On Saturday, April 25, the Teatre Arniches will host Internacional, the show that inaugurates the presence of the Abril en Danza Festival in this space. The proposal brings together five international choreographies from Germany, Italy, Cuba, and Switzerland, reinforcing the global dimension of the event.
The festival's arrival at the Alicante theater also coincides with a particularly symbolic edition, as Abril en Danza celebrates its 15th anniversary. The event takes place in Alicante, Elche, and Murcia and will maintain its programming until May 4, with an offer focused on contemporary creation and the promotion of dance as a scenic language.
With this double program, the Institut Valencià de Cultura reinforces the activity of the Teatre Arniches as one of the reference stages in Alicante for contemporary performing arts, combining new dramaturgical theatrical proposals with a strong commitment to dance.
