The region of Els Ports is tinged with purple by the blooming of lavender, a natural spectacle that can only be enjoyed for about three weeks. "It has a very short bloom, in a few weeks the harvest will already be underway," explains Mónica Segura, guide at Esencias de Els Ports.
Since this Saturday, the fields can be visited to closely contemplate one of the most characteristic scenes of the beginning of summer in the interior of Castellón.
The visits allow not only to tour the lavender fields but also to learn about the traditional spaces where this aromatic plant has historically been worked and the different uses it has, especially in the elaboration of essences and derived products.

"We visit the fields, but we also explain the history of the distillation of these plants"
