A forest fire declared in Forcall, caused by an accident involving a truck, has mobilized numerous air and ground resources due to the risk to the area's forest mass.

The fire, declared this Sunday, has kept air and ground resources deployed throughout the day due to the risk to the area's forest mass. Among the mobilized resources are two amphibious aircraft from the Ministry for Ecological Transition, which have joined regional efforts to reinforce water drops on the fire's front and areas with higher vegetation fuel load.
In addition to the five air resources from the Generalitat and the two Ministry aircraft, an air resource from Catalonia has been incorporated. These aircraft have worked in coordination to limit the fire's spread and cool areas closest to dense vegetation.
On the ground, seven ground units and one helitransported unit with fire engines have been deployed, accessing difficult areas via forest tracks. Five crews, two forest coordinators, and a technician from the Consorcio de Bomberos de Castellón also intervened, supported by an environmental agent and a forest technician.
The operation was completed with a SAMU unit on standby, prepared to attend to any health incidents among the deployed personnel or the population if necessary.
The Emergency Coordination Center has established Situation 1 of the Special Forest Fire Plan. This classification is applied when a fire can seriously affect forest assets and, at the same time, can have a minor impact on the population or non-forest assets.
The activation of this phase involves continuous monitoring of the fire and close coordination between the Generalitat, the Central Government, and local emergency services. This aims to respond quickly to any changes in the fire's evolution and adjust resources as needed.
The origin of the fire has been traced to a truck that had an accident last week and, according to the Consorcio de Bomberos de Castellón, began to burn, with the flames spreading to adjacent vegetation, causing the current wildfire.
Emergencies has reported that, once the fire affected forest land, the incident's classification has been formally reclassified as a forest fire, meeting the criteria established in the Special Forest Fire Plan.
