The forest fire declared on Sunday in the municipality of Forcall, in Els Ports, was stabilized on Monday at 03:30 hours, according to the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Castellón.

The fire began due to a truck breakdown and affected a forest area located next to the CV-124, on the outskirts of Forcall towards La Todolella. Due to the magnitude of the flames and smoke, the road connecting to La Mata de Morella was closed, leading authorities to advise against travel and urge adherence to emergency service instructions.
The fire's evolution prompted the Emergency Coordination Center to establish Situation 1 of the Special Plan for Forest Fire Risk. This is declared when a forest fire can severely affect forest land and potentially have a minor impact on non-forest people or property, though it is deemed controllable with available resources or extraordinary support if needed.
Currently, seven units of the Generalitat forest firefighters, three crews and four rural brigades from the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Castellón, one forest technician, and two coordinators are working on extinguishing the fire.
