The investigation began after detecting a drug dealing point in the area. During inquiries, officers identified the responsible individual and conducted two searches. These actions led to the resolution of two robberies at a dog kennel in Náquera, where 44 puppies of various breeds were stolen, valued at around €65,000, and another robbery involving 84 racing pigeons with their cages, valued at approximately €80,000.
During the searches, 5 Pomeranian puppies and the 84 stolen pigeons were recovered. Furthermore, animal cruelty offenses were uncovered: 5 roosters used for illegal fights, with amputated combs and wattles and manipulated spurs, and 3 greyhounds in extremely poor hygienic and sanitary conditions, with injuries and tick infestations, who were handed over to the competent services.
Materials used for property crimes were also seized, including lock-picking tools, night vision devices, a drone, tracking systems, and communication equipment.
The detainee, a 41-year-old Spanish national with a prior record, faces charges for three counts of burglary, one of drug trafficking, and eight of animal cruelty.
