The Els Ports region is once again offering guided tours of its lavender fields this summer of 2026, a proposal that allows visitors to explore aromatic landscapes and learn about the local distillation tradition.

The activity, named Essències dels Ports, offers a route through various aromatic plant crops and heritage sites in the area. The day includes explanations about the history and customs of the territory, as well as a lunch featuring typical local products.
The production of essences has a long history in this part of the interior of Castellón. In the past, many families obtained essential oils using boilers located near sites such as the Arab bridge in La Todolella. Today, the tradition remains alive with visits to spaces like the Sant Onofre mill and the Cinctorres distillery.
The tours last four hours, from 09:30 to 13:30. The itinerary combines travel by private vehicle and a two-kilometer walk through the fields. The scheduled dates for this year are Saturdays, June 27, July 4, and July 11, 2026.
