The Petrer City Council has completed the final phase of improvement works in the Salinetas industrial park, an initiative supported by a grant of nearly 300,000 euros from IVACE, which includes a new rest area for workers.

Among the main interventions is the creation of a new rest area near the electrical transformer located between Avenida de la Libertad and Calle Puig Campana. This space features tables, benches, and a trompe l'oeil mural simulating a wooded area, aiming to provide a disconnection zone for industrial park workers during their workday.
A municipal spokesperson explained that this action responds to a demand raised by business owners over a year ago, initially focused on improving traffic flow with a roundabout. However, the City Council decided to expand the project's scope to enhance the urban quality of the environment and make it “more pleasant and welcoming” for those working in the area.
This new rest area joins two others established in previous phases on Calle Arenal and in a space with a calisthenics zone, aligning with the municipal strategy to humanize industrial parks.
In addition to this intervention, works have focused on Calle Costa de la Luz, parallel to Avenida Cataluña, where complete road repaving, new sidewalk construction, and the expansion of LED lighting have been carried out to improve accessibility, safety, and the area's image.
Furthermore, new fire hydrants connected to the municipal water network have been installed, reinforcing emergency response capabilities in the industrial area. The council emphasizes that these actions are part of the strategy to boost industrial areas developed in recent years, with IVACE support, focusing on infrastructure modernization, mobility improvement, and energy efficiency in the municipality's main industrial parks.
