The Ministry of Health has tendered the expansion and renovation works for the La Bassa health center in Alcoy, with a budget of 10,272,891.58 euros, including VAT. Interested companies have until July 17 at 2 PM to submit their bids.
The project, planned with an 18-month execution period, has been pending since the last legislature. The reform and expansion project for this health center, located in the Zona Nord neighborhood, the most populous in the city with over 17,000 residents, is highly anticipated by the community.
The La Bassa health center, inaugurated on May 25, 1987, requires adaptation to current needs. It is expected that, in addition to improving the building's conditions, the staff and services will be increased.
The functional plan indicates that after the works, the center will have 12 Family Medicine consultations, 12 Nursing consultations, four Pediatric consultations, and three Pediatric Nursing consultations. Additionally, it will incorporate an Extraction and Treatment Area, Social Work, Rehabilitation with a gym, Dentistry, and will reinstate areas such as Women's Health and Minor Surgery. It will also include a Continuous Care Point for emergencies and an ambulance base (SAMU and Basic Life Support).
