Muro d'Alcoi has celebrated the third edition of the Muralitza't urban art festival, which has transformed the walls of the La Llometa football field with graffiti and stories.

In recent days, guided tours have been organized to showcase the works created as part of this event. However, the artistic work began months earlier with preparatory workshops.
The municipality's Youth Department organized training activities in the preceding months with IES Serra Mariola, CEIP El Bracal, and CEIP Montcabrer. The aim was to explain what urban art is, its value in public spaces, and its capacity to narrate a town's identity.
The main participating artists this year included Toni Espinar, Alba Galdón, Jordi Sanjuan, Joan Cascant, Pau Perona, and Giovanna Valls. Additionally, the event welcomed two special guests: Joan Carbonell, known as Mariando, and Rafel Moreno, residents of Muro de Mallorca, a town twinned with this locality.
The initiative is part of the "MUROperMURO: Mediterrani Compartit" project, which uses art as a tool for community transformation.
Alba Galdón, one of the organizers, highlighted that the festival represents a generational shift. At 15, she was inspired by Toni Espinar's work, and this year she experienced a similar moment when a young girl expressed her desire to paint.
