Lucía Pascual Valor, the current president of the Alcoy Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, is the sole candidate who has come forward in the electoral process to renew the position, ensuring her continued leadership of the institution.

The deadline for submitting candidacies ended this afternoon, and with Lucía Pascual being the only option, there will be no need to initiate a voting process. Her candidacy will be ratified and proclaimed once all submitted documentation is validated this afternoon.
Pascual, who is also the CEO of Transportes Antonio Pascual, first assumed the presidency of the Alcoy Chamber in the summer of 2024, succeeding Pablo de Gracia. At that time, she took office for the remaining two years of the legislative term, becoming the first woman to lead the institution. Now, she is set to secure a full four-year mandate.
One of Lucía Pascual's primary objectives has been the development of industrial land in Alcoy. The Chamber actively promotes the Alcoi Sud Business Park project, which she has described as an "unprecedented project" due to its differentiation from previous proposals and its ability to meet the strong demand for land, preventing companies from leaving the area.

"I have full confidence in the materialization of the Alcoi Sud Business Park, a project that, once finalized, incorporates all the necessary elements and all relevant reports are evaluated, will offer maximum guarantees for its economic and environmental viability."
